Celebrate Christmas at Strawberry Hill House
7 December 2024 – 5 January 2025

This December, we’ll be bringing the magic of the Flower Festival into the historic, gothic halls of Strawberry Hill House, transforming it for Christmas. Expect to see three breathtaking tablescapes in selected chambers of Walpole’s little gothic castle, with beautifully decorated trees and decorations placed throughout the house. Curators from the Flower Festival team will craft an artistic vision for the tablescapes, inspired by flowers, foliage, dried, and natural elements available in the UK at this time of year. Each design will come to life, responding creatively to the unique atmosphere and beauty of this magical setting.

Activities for the season include Christmas Wreath-making sessions on Sunday 1 December. Join Lilian from Lilian’s Flowers and sustainable flower farmer, Char Johnston, in making a natural woodland Christmas wreath, embellished with hand-dried flowers.

There is also the Strawberry Hill House Christmas Concert on Tuesday 3 December, where we welcome back the wonderful soprano Kirsty Taylor Stokes, supported by the Strawberry Hill House Community Choir. Enjoy an entertaining evening of Christmas music and festive poetry read by Nigel Roberts.

Come and experience Christmas at Strawberry Hill House, where history, and nature come together in perfect harmony.
