Art History Talks with Alison Meek: UCL

Thu 15 Jun 2017 11:00 AM

We are delighted that Alison Meek will be giving another series of talks to Friends.

In this series of art history talks, our visits will be to galleries where art was collected, commissioned or compiled by an individual, family or institution to their tastes and interests, often reflected in the design of the building itself.

This talk will be focussing on the rising stars of the Slade School of Art, exhibited at the UCL Art Museum. Tickets are £13.50 per lecture but you can book 4 for £45.

We are limited to 20 people per lecture so book early for this very popular series.

Please note that this event is available exclusively to Friends of Strawberry Hill. If you would like to learn more about becoming a Friend please click here.

Inns of Court - Visit to Inner Temple

Thu 7 Sep 2017 11:00 AM

In the middle of the 12th Century, the Military Order of the Knights Templar built a fine round church by the Thames, which became known as the Temple Church.

Two Centuries later, after the abolition of the Order in 1312, lawyers came to occupy the Temple site and buildings, forming themselves into two societies - the Inner Temple and Middle Temple. Join the Friends of Strawberry Hill as they visit both Temples on two separate occasions, beginning with the Inner Temple.

Have a look at our 'What's On' page for November to book on to the Middle Temple visit.

Each £15 will include refreshments on arrival.
