We offer a range of community events, all of which are detailed on our events page.
We offer workshops, lectures, local history talks and master classes, fashion shows, plays, concerts and community drama events. We run family craft days including events celebrating holidays and festivals including Easter, Halloween and Christmas. We have a gothic bookclub and a thriving oral history group who are collecting ‘memories’ from many people who live, or lived, in the local area. We offer tailor made study days and workshops for adult and children’s groups. We work with national partners, for example The Arts Council and Campaign for Drawing, and local partners including Arts Richmond and our local libraries to promote art, design and literature in the local community. We are also creating a community garden very kindly funded by the HLF.

In addition to crafts events available to the whole community, we also offer targeted activities and courses working with isolated and vulnerable groups in society.
We work with the local authority, various charities and friendship groups to provide one off events and longer courses designed to teach new skills, raise self-esteem and promote enjoyment. We work with skilled practitioners in areas including music, dance, writing, art, craft, sewing, fashion design, gardening, drama, photography, printing and computer skills.
Strawberry Hill offers volunteer opportunities for all ages and plans to offer work based learning opportunities for school leavers and the unemployed.
